I have been looking forward to my college education for many years, because I want to be able to expand my mind and my abilities beyond what I have been able to do in high school. As I began my search for colleges I was looking for a place that helped me in the transition public to upper education with a strong core curriculum that continues the endeavors in all disciplines, especially since the first few years of college should be encouraged, which is especially great for students who are not 100 percent certain of their intended path of study. I see that kind of advantage in the University of Chicago, where the classes are not huge but there is still the entire, amazing city of Chicago right at the student body’s fingertips. And of course, having to do with location is the physical appearance. From the minute I saw of picture of the University of Chicago campus, I knew that I wanted apply/attend there if possible, the architecture and the landscape is simply breathtaking, and being in a beautiful environment, for me, is just as important as the education. Additionally, the 20th century buildings give a sense of connection to the past which pairs well with my idealistic view of the future. Being in a place that has the feeling of discussion and decisions having occurred there or theories having been formed there, makes one hopeful.
