My goal out of hundreds of careers in the U.S is to pursue a career in pharmacy. I choose this career because l believes in the change that pharmacist brings to help make the world a better place.To fully comprehend the changes pharmacists are creating in our society today, and why l want to be a part of this revolution, one has to look at the role they play in enhancing healthcare service. Pharmacies are moving into ideal location in the form of retail settings to deliver drugs, create awareness and educate people on general symptoms and effect of disease. In addition they play an essential role as the first line of defense for health wellness and information. My immediate goal is to stay in school and make good grade, which in turn will earn me a degree and the privilege to practice pharmacy. Coming from a developing country most individuals relies on self-medication, due to the fact that seen a doctor is expensive. In contrast, poor countries like Nigeria suffer from atrocities committed by group of individual that capitalized on government ineffective regulation of drugs.l’am motivated every day to pursue a career in pharmacy, having been a patient of damage kidney due to the effect caused by consumption of fake drugs,one could better understand why l chose a career in pharmacy instead of other health related fields.
