Throughout my educational years, I've always excelled in mathematics. When I was younger, my father would help assist me with mathematical questions I did not understand. While other people did not have the assistance from their parents with homework problems, I was fortunate enough to have a dad who used to be a math teacher. Because of the fundamentals that I developed from an early age, my interest in math increased. While my peers would always complain about how math is their least favorite subject, I've always looked forward to math class. Math, unlike any other subject, gives students the tools they need to strive in the everyday world. My passion for math started to grow because of the usefulness it has in my daily routine. History. In addition, I grew interest after applying the transitive property to my daily life. One thing that I've always wanted to study was different cultures, not only in America, but all over the world. Anthropology was just the right subject for me to achieve those things. Anthropology, unlike US. History, focuses more on the people and how their culture contributes to their society. The cultures that stood out to me the most were the Gypsies and the Amish because their culture is so much different from mine. That’s what interested me because I get to see their point of view while reading about them. This ties back to the transitive property because some people may think about the differences their culture has with theirs. As a result, those people will start having ethnocentric views and talk down about the other cultures.
