Throughout my high school career at the International School of the Americas, I have become a progressive member of the global community by generating solutions to problems by using both creative and rational thought. I have learned to investigate relevant global issues by developing cogent positions which have enabled me to analyze and address the myriad of perspectives, counter arguments, and comprehensive solutions that I have been faced with thus far. This hands on approach to learning led me to discover my career interests and desired major, city and regional planning. City and Regional planning is a field that incorporates my academic interests and my eagerness to address complex issues on local and global scales. These programs would allow me to investigate the world and push the limits of my knowledge and abilities both inside and outside of the classroom. If given the opportunity to collaborate with others by studying abroad, I will strive to develop new ways of viewing situations, work toward the accomplishment of group goals, and remain open minded when considering the multitudes of ideas and perspectives.
