Many Americans today enjoy watching sports; however, football has become the most popular sport on television. Many argue about which has more entertainment when watching college or NFL. Both are exciting and thrilling to watch, in similar and diverse ways. When considering which one is more exciting to watch, people choose to take competitiveness, energy, and suspense into consideration. These are the things that keep individuals entertained when watching sports and there are ways that college football may seem more enjoyable than NFL, and ways that the NFL seems more enjoyable than college. If someone encounters a big football fan, they claim that the best games to watch are the ones that have your heart beating fast, and have you on your toes. Not all college football games are the best to watch if a person is seeking suspense. In college football, most teams are likely to play another team that is either a lot better than the other or a lot worse. For example, there are different conferences in college; conferences such as the SEC are likely to have a team in the college football playoffs every year. Other conferences such as the Sunbelt conference have never been in the college football playoffs, therefore when two teams play each other from both conferences it is likely to be considered a “blowout” which means that one team beats the other by 20+ points; which makes it a less exciting game to watch. In the NFL on the other hand every team is playing the best of the best players, and it is very unlikely to see any “blowouts” in the NFL; therefore, in this case, the NFL may seem to have more suspense throughout the games. College football and the NFL both have games, especially in the playoffs that will keep suspense throughout the entirety of the games. However, in regular-season football games, NFL tends to have a lot more suspenseful games that will keep you on your
