Engagement refers to a process where people interact. In the engagement process, people share ideas, make decisions through consultation, and also inform each other. Community refers to people located in a particular location or a particular geographical area. A community has specific and similar interests that affect their welfare. Therefore, in community engagement, members of society are main stakeholders. Therefore, community engagement refers to an action or process that is planned to involve the interested and affected community members in discussing issues affecting their wellbeing (McReynolds & Shields, 2015). The professional concept is based on the education system in the United States of America. Therefore, this process is based on national context. The stakeholders in community engagement on education include parents, teacher, students, and government, private and public organizations in the United States. The community involved in the education sector is the learning institutions (Tiwari et al., 2014). In this case, we shall consider all the stages of learning, from preschool to the university level. The community involved here is both in the internal and external. The people in the internal school environment include the teachers, non-teaching staff and fellow students. The external environment includes the community surrounding the school and the family set up. The community affects the outcome in education. Therefore, community engagement is essential to understanding the issues affecting the education sector and how they can be handled. According to Environment., (2005) the stakeholders such as parents have a role to play by participating in community engagement process. For instance, how does the use of technology affect the children performance in schools? Is the dress code accepted in school affecting the morals of children? The graduates are trained before performing tasks in organizations. However, some technical courses such as medicine and engineering required practical skills. The organizations that employ the graduates give a report of their performance. In the current world, the quality of education has been significantly affected. The students do not acquire proper skills as required. The population of students is high, and, therefore, teachers are not enough to cater for the growing population. Secondly, most students are influenced by the marketability of the course in the current market and not their passion. A student will pursue medicine because it is likely to earn him more income in future. Unfortunately, the learner does not have a passion or the course. The outcome of skills and knowledge ends up being very poor for such a student. The government comes in as a stakeholder because it is expected to provide learning resources in the learning institution. The ministry of education also sets the standards of education. The students are the actual participants in the engagement process and cannot be left out. They are the topic of
