ThinkFast Game Show Versus Step Show
School spirit reigns supreme during homecoming week. Organizations are doing their part to raise spirits while competing against each other. Each day a different event takes place creating friendly competition. They range from the active step show preliminaries and finals, to the rapid fire questioning of the ThinkFast Game Show. While these events may differ from each other by means of execution, they relate due to the entertainment factor achieved.
On Wednesday, October 8, numerous organization sent out their selected few to dress up and dance in the step show preliminaries. Each group worked hard to come up with and master a routine that involved dancing, keeping a rhythm during the step portions and

They each did their part to cheer on their favorites in hopes that the group advanced to the finals. The organization members were able to further assist their talented members by not only cheering, rather by assisting in a chat unique to each group participating. Due to this audience participation, the organizations felt as though the entirety of their group was competing instead of only a few.
In order to determine the five advancing groups who would perform at the pep rally, a panel of judges was needed. The panel consisted of several faculty members. As they watched the performances, they evaluated the groups. Once every organization had competed, the judges took a few minutes to determine their five finalists. The finalists were the African Student Association, Association of Mexican American Students, Kappa Delta Rho Colony, Sigma Kappa Sorority and Pike Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
The step show was able to get students become involved in homecoming week in an active and entertaining way. The performers, as well as the audience, seemed to have a great time. Each organization performed to the best of their ability to allow the judges to hopefully choose them. The fun and chances at glory did not end on Wednesday, rather they continued on the following

This audience might not have been able to directly contribute to a team’s victory, instead they were able to participate on their own for fun. As the questions were asked, while the ones competing entered in their answers to be calculated for a score, the audience could determine answers for themselves and shout them out if they pleased. In addition, the audience was able to enjoy the high energy and entertaining environment provided by the event. As the actual competitors enjoyed the event, the spectators did as well, due to being able to test their knowledge against large
