Dr. Charles H. Towns the Nobel prizewinner and scientist was also a Christian man and the author of “The Convergence of Science and Religion. In this manuscript he describes the similarities of science and religion. In my findings of his reading, for my better understanding of science and religion, is religion tells why things happens, the uncertainty and science is how things work, experiments. Religion is always something more and it what many Christians consider their beliefs in which is their faith and having faith is believing. Dr. Charles H. Charles H. Towns states that the difference between science and religion, is religion often comes from great revelation, whereas science comes from the methods of discovery that are usually by logical deductions or accumulation of data that is analyzed by methods of order to draw a conclusion that is sometimes called laws. Religion also really depends solely on faith and from a greater revelation by God, whereas with science it have to be proven, proved or has to be given proof, test, mathematical and postulates. For examples with science experiments and hypothesis have to be conducted, tested to ensure that the theory or theories are correct. Scientist can go back and forward with arguments on whose theory is right. Religion is just biblical and many do not want to add or subtract of what is the doctrine. I really enjoyed the part of the article when Dr. Charles H. Towns mentioned the great Buddha, this was an excellent example to give. To make a long story short, Buddha was described as living the simple life, he laid down and just had simple thoughts, nothing major and that’s how he lived. Great ideas come from deep thoughts rather than from the collected data and when things are revealed to a person or someone it is considered a revelation. So for me this is when Dr. Charles H. Towns shows their similarities in
