Vaulting onto the couch, I grabbed the controllers to play to the sudden death. Back then as a seven year-old, I didn’t know that my interest in playing video games would ultimately spark my passion for computer science; nevertheless, I knew that I wanted to create my own world from the ground up.

I cannot think of a better place than Cornell to cultivate my passions for computer science and engineering. I look forward to learning more about different tracks in computer science like systems, programming languages, scientific computing among others as part of the CS undergraduate program. I have started exploring the logic and theory tracks in Program in Algorithmic and Combinatorial Thinking (PACT) at Princeton University while continuing to learn programming and data structures at my school and at the computer science club. …show more content…

My project in MIT Launch is based on the graph theory concepts that I have learnt at PACT and will help high schoolers find the field they are truly interested in by helping them find mentors, courses, and outside resources for free. I look forward to getting an education at Cornell that will help me benefit society at large.

Cornell University’s Department of Computer Science is renowned as a global leader in research and I would love to work with its distinguished faculty members. I have my sight set on the honors program in computer science in which I will do two semesters of faculty supervised research projects, and use my research in future endeavors to affect change in the world.
