College is a very important place for someone to go after high school. Some choose to work on family farms, or other jobs that don’t necessarily need a college degree to perform, but others may want that challenge. College is where lifetime friends are made, and lifetime goals come true. I am one of those students that have chosen to look further into colleges and have narrowed it down to two places to make my lifetime dreams come true. Missouri Science and Technology and Truman State are my two choices to study pre-medicine. I have looked more into Truman State, Kirkwood, Missouri, to study pre-medicine, and hopefully I can fulfill my dreams of wanting to help children and teenagers with their health by becoming a pediatrician. 2017, April 18). Average acceptance scores for the ACT at Truman State University lie between 25 and 30 (F., Junior, C., & S. 2017, April 18). In state tuition and fees for Truman is $7,656, and out of state tuition is $14,440, while room and boarding is $8,630 as of the 2017, 2018 school year (How Does Truman State Rank Among America's Best Colleges? 2017). As of the 2017-2018 school year, there have been 6,379 students enrolled into Truman State University (How Does Truman State Rank Among America's Best Colleges? 2017). At Truman, 59% of the students are women, and 41% are men (How Does Truman State Rank Among America's Best Colleges? 2017). To get into Truman, there are a few necessary requirements for high school. Four units of english are needed, three units of mathematics, three units of social studies/history, three units of natural science, one unit of fine arts, and two units of a chosen foreign language are all needed to apply to
