College in this century is a necessity, but priced as a luxury”, I saw this quote on a social media website it made me take a step back and realize that going to college isn’t easy. My parents raised me with the ideal that education would the greatest thing I could do with my life, and if I followed that path my life would be much better. The desire that college would provide me with a better life is one of the influences that drove me to strive to attend college. Not too long ago I decided that my career would be in the forensic medicine field, this combined my desire to work in crime scenes and with the human anatomy into the career of a medical examiner. Growing up my parents always instilled in me that education was of the uttermost importance because it would give me a pathway to many doors and success. This love for science developed in an interest in medicine. I have a interest for the human anatomy and its function, but I didn’t just want to be a doctor I wanted a career that encompassed more. My interests also ranged to forensic science, my love for both fields caused a limited number of careers until I found the career of a Medical Examiner. To be a Medical Examiner does not required a specific major, so I decided to pursue a bachelors in biology, but must follow the track for a Pre-med student. Once completed my bachelors, my studies continue to graduate school receiving my doctorate, followed by a residence program to receive my license to practice medicine.
