Why do I want to be a part of NCSSM? I want to be a part of NCSSM because of the opportunities and experiences I can gain there. Having had grown up in a small, limited world, I exhausted every opportunity available to me. Through those opportunities, I gained insight to the larger world of study and research; a world I want to be a part of. NCSSM has resources and experiences I need to prepare myself for those broader horizons. I grew up within a small, limited world. From a young age, I began to decide for myself what I wanted to do and be in the future. I knew from the very beginning that I, not only because the future I wanted required the most qualified students; wanted to strive for best for myself. It is this self-motivation, drive, and independence that characterizes the ideal NCSSM student. What steps have you taken to prepare yourself for NCSSM? To be the ideal student? From the very beginning, I knew what qualities and experiences that not only made the ideal NCSSM student, but also made up the ideal candidate for my future career: a leading researcher in the biochemistry field and nurse practitioner. Knowing full well of this, I took on activities that demonstrated and honed my ability to lead and help others as well as focusing strongly on the science field, particularly biology. Along with this, I have taken on many other time-consuming activities while upholding my academic standing. Based on my experience, I believe that I am more than ready for NCSSM’s environment as I already demonstrate the qualities of the ideal student. Why did you choose to apply to
