William Warden, a witness in this case, saw David Eldridge enter the restaurant before Mr Armes's death and an hour later Mr Armes's screams were heard. In addition, after a while, he decided to check out the restaurant and found Mr. Armes dead. If David Eldridge did not commit the crime then why did someone witness him with their own eyes entering the restaurant before Mr Armes was dead and then the witness found him dead a while after screams were heard from Mr Armes? The next reason is that there was no sign of a break-in and David and Mr Armes were the only people with keys.
The defense explained that blood from the crime scene were transferred to David’s sweatshirt, socks, and sneakers when he encountered his family upon discovering their bodies. The state did agree with the defense in saying that some of the bloodstains found of the items belonging to David Camm were a result of transfer, however, some were the result of spatter. After hearing testimony from both the States and the defense expert witnesses, the jury deliberated for three days, and eventually found Camm guilty of murdering his family. David Camm was sentenced to 195 years in prison without parole (Mckay,
His fingerprints were found on a map that was in the glove compartment of the victim's car. The map had the defendant's fingerprints on it, which suggested that he had handled the map at some point. This was used as evidence that he had been in the car around the time of the murder; However it just tells you that he touched a map that was in her car, they were in a relationship so they would have been physically intimate with each other. The presence of his fingerprints on the map found in the victim's car was used as evidence against him at his trial. The serial podcast goes through each one of these outcomes and Sarah Koenig shows that the evidence that they put into the trial should not have been admissible.
David Eldridge had wanted a raise from Mr. Armes forever and never got one, which gives him the perfect incentive to do something insane. The prosecution is correct in this case. Mr. Eldridge killed Mr. Armes because reasonable evidence exists. The strongest piece of evidence for this case to prove that David Eldridge is guilty is that he stole a spatula and never gave it back to Mr. Arms, who was killed by a spatula.
This is why people who commit extremely bad crimes that affect many people's lives need to be put away. Many innocent people are affected every year by crimes of theft, murder, etc., and this is why David Eldridge should be found guilty of murdering Mr. Armes in the first degree because reasonable evidence shows David Eldridge murdered Mr. Armes. One of the strongest pieces of evidence in this case was that David Eldridge’s fingerprints and footprints were found all around
David Eldridge has many pieces of evidence to prove he's guilty such as he owned a key to get into the building, he arrived at the building 2 hours before the death, he asked for a raise then Mr. Armes disagreed to giving him a raise that made David Angry, and there's proof that Barbra Wheeler didn't kill Mr. Armes. The strongest piece of evidence in this case was that he was angry at Mr. Armes since the morning of the murder, he asked for a raise and
Eldridge is guilty is because in the trial it was stated that Mr. Eldridge told Patrick Lewis that Mr. Arms was a greedy pig and he was going to wish that he gave him a raise. This is showing signs of aggression, giving me reason to believe that Mr. Eldridge could have been the one to kill Mr. Arms. Another reason as to why Mr. Eldridge is guilty is because he was seen at the crime scene two hours before the body was found, this is showing that he was there while the murder took place. The same witness also stated that it was possible for him to have gone into the restaurant, committed the murder, then left, thinking he was not seen. Mr. Eldridge is guilty because there is reason to believe that Barbra Wheeler could have paid him money to steal the recipe, then while he was stealing it Mr. Arms caught him so he killed Mr. Arms.
David went to the restaurant the morning Mr. Armes died before David was going to beg for a raise. Also, David Eldridge’s footprints were found all over the greasy floor around Mr. Armes’s body inside the Family Fun restaurant. This evidence proves my claim that David Eldridge is guilty of Mr. Armes’s murder, since David wanted to get revenge from Mr. Armes, David went to the restaurant the morning Mr. Armes died before David
Mr. Eldridge called Mr. Arnes a “greedy pig”. This shows that David Eldridge had motivation to murder Mr. Arnes. Also, Mr. Eldridge said that he was at the
David Elderidge should be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of murder. Although the defendant claims that he is not guilty, they are wrong because Mr. Elderidge had the motive to kill Mr. Armes, the spatula that killed Mr. Armes had Mr. Elderidge’s fingerprints on it, and Mr. Elderidge was seen at the crime scene by William Warden shortly before Mr. Armes’s death. The first reason in the case was that Mr. Eldridge had a motive to kill Mr. Armes. Sandy Smith testified Mr. Eldridge was in desperate need of money because the bank would repossess his home.
Can you imagine being a business owner and trusting an employee so much you give the keys to your business and the combination of your safety with your secret recipe? This was Mr. Armes. And Mr. Eldridge, his trusted employee, responded by murdering him. Mr. David Eldridge should be found guilty because reasonable evidence exists. Mr. Eldridge was seen entering the restaurant two hours before the body was found and one hour later Mr. Armes was heard screaming loudly and Mr. Eldridge’s footprints were found in the grease around the body.
Case Assessment Click on the link below to view my case assessment in Word Format Personal View :) I believe that Lindy was innocent from the start. If proper forensic tests were performed then the jury probably would of arrived at this decision as well.
Have you ever been in trouble? When you are in trouble, you might want to make up a lie or something to prove you shouldn’t be in trouble. In this case, David Eldridge is trying to prove that he should not be in trouble in this case. There was a death in the Family Fun restaurant and Mr. David Eldridge should be guilty because there is enough evidence to show that David Eldridge murdered Mr. Armes. Mr. David Eldridge should be found guilty because, at the murder scene, David Eldridge's footprints were found in the Family Fun restaurant in the kitchen around where Mr. Armes was found dead.
Mr. Bennett should be found not guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams because there is reasonable doubt. Mr. Bennett went into the kitchen to check on Mr. Adams. when he was lying on the ground with spilled coffee all around his body. When Mr. Adam went into the kitchen to go get some cream and sugar, but there was rat poison by the cream and sugar and it looked alike and Mrs. Swanson testified that he had bad eyesight. That Mr. Bennett wouldn't go into the kitchen to go check on Mr. Adams because he would already know that he was dead.
This evidence should better my stand of him being not guilty because of the fact of witnesses saying that she was cleaning the house when he was leaving. The evidence also proved that he was not at the scene at the time of the murder. A witness has a description, of a man that she last seen, was homeless and looked scruffy and appeared to be in a van. This piece of evidence should help you understand the reason why I’m reversing the verdict. The people that are saying he’s guilty, will try and counter my point.
