Religions have a hand in completely blinding communities. In fact, some communities have completely changed their morals, to better accommodate to that of their chosen religious belief. As such, these communities have trouble in differentiating between being reasonable, and of, being unreasonable. Bringing this farther into confrontation is that of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Through that of his characters, Miller expresses ignorance, and of how, it can make a group go against rational thinking, thus, eventually causing the death, and or pain, of others as a result.
To begin with the action research will be done in a second grade classroom that has above grade level math students. Today’s society has developed different views of what the word happiness truly means. In the dictionary, happiness is described as a state of feeling pleasure or contentment. The Bible defines happiness as being guided by God, suffering for the sake of righteousness, and being reproached for the name of Christ. Philosophy believes that happiness is a state of mind that has a life that is going well for the one leading it. However, happiness has become altered to be defined by social media and judgements people make of one person because happiness isn’t seen as what one enjoys anymore, but instead as what one has.
The social narrative in today’s modern society would lead us to believe that happiness is a state being that can only be reached by external means, but my experiences of prolifically working to love myself prove otherwise. Everyone defines happiness according to their own personal perspective. Each individual describes their inner feelings in a way that you can't compare with another. Happiness cannot be attained simply by just gaining one item, such as a Barbie doll; happiness is an accumulation of the way one regards one’s self and the world around them. That does not mean that one’s life has to be perfect to be happy, it just means that they can look through the imperfections and still feel content about their life. Outlooks on more emotional factors, such as dealing with conflict, can contribute to the achievement of happiness, as well as more materialistic factors such as finance, and occupation. Ultimately, happiness is achieved by a person’s ability to make the best in their situations, even when there are flaws.

We each determine in our own way what happiness means by connecting the definition of happiness to what is going on in our lives and how our lives progress. Happiness is all around you; it is not hard to seek because it is everywhere, but you can easily miss it if you don’t stop and enjoy it. The study of happiness goes back hundreds of years. Socrates studied it and discovered that through human effort happiness is attainable and teachable. Also, if the soul learns to redirect from physical pleasures to virtue, then it helps lead a person down the road to true happiness.
