It 's never good for a new country to fight over its very foundation. In the USA’s case the foundation was the constitution, and the disagreement was over how to interpret the document. The amendments and code of conduct are listed in the constitution so this dispute was for the better of the country. The Federalists believed in a loose interpretation of the constitution.
If you were to ask a few people how they measured success, most of the answers would vary. Some may state that is based on your monetary value or that it is measured by your happiness. Yet, these answers can be categorized by a broad definition: success is achieving the goal you set your mind to. Malcolm Gladwell, in his book Outliers, challenges the societal view of how success is ultimately obtained. The author states “...if you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires” to emphasize the importance of persistence and work ethic when looking for success (Gladwell 151).
Success should be defined as your way of life, how you are involved with a community, or how well you are with a job. Others may not have the same type of reasoning. For example, in the article, “8 Ways Highly Successful People Carry out Successful Plans,” written by blogger Jose Ramos, he states one way that a successful person can carry out a successful plan is by, “Saving Decision Making for Important Things.” In the article, he states, “Only a few decisions truly matter when you want to plan to succeed. They’ve internalized that every decision doesn’t have to be optimal or perfect, which frees them to make quick decisions most of the time.”
Success, after all, is what most human beings are striving for in their life, whether it is a successful marriage, successful business, successful family and their success in overall happiness. Cardone showed that there is no scarcity when it comes to success, that I cannot let others success limit the boundaries of the success I want. “Success is not a lottery, bingo, a horse race or a card game that allows for only one winner” (Cardone 58). That if I want success, I need to realize that success is created and not won. It truly has no limits and I can have as much as I want.
Success is something everyone vies for. Our society is built upon success- everything from the education system, jobs, happiness, etc... The problem is that success is highly indiviualistic. Everyone has his or her own definition of success. However, Sir Winston Churchill's brilliantly defines what he believes success to be in his quote, "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm".
Success, defined as attaining personal goals and having in-depth relations with loved ones, is, in reality, a very complicated term. The idea of success holds different meanings for anyone who ponders it, involving money, power, glory, happiness, security, comfort, love, and many other elements. The attainment of goals seems to be at the heart of every definition. Even so, success cannot be tethered down to any one form. Success in its purest form cannot be forced to attain real prosperity, it holds deeper layers than are commonly visible from the surface, and even the best of successes have perils and negative effects.
Have you ever wondered what being successful looks like? Everyone in this world would want to be successful. Matter how old you are, where you’re from or what you do for a living, we all share something in common a desire to be successful. Each person’s definition of success is different, however, as some may define success as being a loving and faithful spouse or a caring and responsible parent, while most people would think success is wealth, fame, and power. We all want to achieve success so we could live a comfortable life have financial freedom, drive a nice car, and live in a beautiful house.
In our world, people usually associate success with either money, money, or money. Success shouldn’t be about how much money we earn, how good our job is, or how famous we are. It should be about our own personal goals and aims in life. I think everyone’s definition of success is different. For each individual, success is something that makes them feel proud.
Success can be defined in many ways, but to me, success should be defined as enjoying yourself and living happily because happiness is personal to each and every person and if you’re only going to live once, you might as well make it a good time for yourself. As for me, happiness comes from getting a good education along with spending time with my friends and family. Maya Angelou, a famous poet and writer who worked in many occupations beforehand, had a definition of success much like mine. She said, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” Her definition is true to her because she spent tons of time switching jobs until she found one she actually enjoyed.
First of all, what is success? If you look it up in a dictionary, you’d find that, “Success is the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals or dreams.” But indeed, is that how simple you can elaborate what success entails? I believe that each person has it’s own perspective or personal view on the word success. Now, how do we reach success?
Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. For some, success is measured by social status and wealth; for others success is determined only by the amount of happiness one feels. The concept of success is deeply connected with ones values and beliefs. If one person’s value system says that having a lot of money is the most important thing to being successful, then that individual will deem that as a success. I think this was a big problem with me growing up and still is a little difficult to deal with today.
Your concept of success is deeply connected with your values and beliefs. If your system of values in your conscious says having money is the most important thing in life, then you will deem that as success. But if your value system says that apart from having money, peace, stability, integrity, happiness and contentment are also important, it presents an entirely different picture of success to you. Some people are abundantly wealthy, but not truly happy. Some people are plain ordinary but very happy and secure about themselves.
Success can be one of the greatest things to achieve. Sports, school, and careers all have potential for success to be conquered. Sports has to be the most competitive activity for success.
When I think of successful people I don’t think of people who have never missed up or those who are perfect in every way, shape, and form. I think of those people who have not only failed once but maybe numerous times throughout life and have always found a way to learn from their mistakes and grow as an individual. Let’s all face it nobody is perfect.
Success: everyone wants it, few achieve it. Success is subjective. It could mean obtaining an education, being able to take over the family, achieving one’s life goals, or making the most money. Because it is subjective, it has the tendency to be considered wrong. A person may be successful, but depressed and have no sign of happiness in life, or he or she could make horrible decisions that destroy his or her path of success.
