In my opinion, freedom is the ability to do something however you want without the feeling of restraint or restriction. We as individuals, constitute our own freedom, because everyone's definition is completely different from one another. An example of my definition being able to say whatever you want at a Trump rally and not get jumped by a horde or people. According from my perspective of Fahrenheit 451, MIldred’s definition of freedom is basically escaping reality, She believes that the outside world is sort of worthless and has nothing to do with what she really cares about, which is her earbuds and tv walls.
The United States didn’t invent freedom. The Greeks and Romans had their democratic principles and the British had their Magna Carta before we were a nation. We are not even considered the “most free” nation in the world. In fact, we were ranked 20th in the world earlier this year by the Cato Institute in the “human freedom index.”
Freedom comes at a cost. Americans have exerted their all to gain freedom even before the founding of this country. For example, the U.S. has had many accomplishments such as eliminating slavery, advancing women's rights, and pursuing other freedoms across our country. Overtime Americans have pushed for freedom, and have been successful in doing so through their determination.
We don 't typically stop to think about our freedom, it is something most of us are guilty of taking for granted. Even when our freedom is brought to our attention, it is only a brief thought quickly pushed to the back of our minds. Most of us are too focused on our own hardships and shortcomings. However, there are a select few who have come to the realization that this freedom is a highly valued prize. These are the people that fight our battles for us because they value the safe haven that our country is.
Freedom lives and breathes in everything we as Americans do. The freedom we have today reminds me of where freedom does not exist yet. There are many countries where the citizens have heard about our freedom, but cannot experience it for themselves. We can only hope for those people right now, and dream of a world that’s free.
It is what caused the United States of America to rise in power and create a unified nation. In fact, freedom is one of the main reasons so many people migrate to America. What

To me Freedom is America, Freedom is the 13 horizontal stripes and the 50 stars waving in the wind, and finally Freedom is for everyone to be equal, yet different in his or her own way. Freedom to me is America, as simple as that. On July 4th, 1776 America gained freedom from Great Britain, for this is one of the most important dates in American history.
The United States of America is now a days considered a country where freedom is a priority, and one of the most influential powers in the world. But in order for Americans to be able to understand the history behind freedom in America. One has to understand the value of how this land was born. It was all wrought as the result of slavery, and hard work put that many colonist put into this land.
Ever wondered why freedom is so important to America? Why we need freedom and why some people take advantage of it? Or why we have rules with the freedom we have? Freedom to me isn’t just a word, it’s a way of life that everybody uses, sure, all people are unique but freedom is the one thing that makes us all the same, as equals and individuals.
“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor, it must be demanded by the oppressed”, Martin Luther King Jr. This statement embodies what I believe freedom means, I believe freedom means the ability to rise up and defend what you believe in. That is so important, to be able to follow what you believe in, you have to be willing to fight for it. If you aren't willing to fight for something, it's probably not that important to you. In 1789 the bill of rights was adopted and that was 226 years ago is still revalent today.
Freedom to me is being able to walk down the street drinking some coffee out of a “plastic” cup, throw it in the trash and not have someone yell at me to recycle it! Now be prepared for “boring nation” cause i'm fixing because i'm fixing to bore you with LOTS of examples. Freedom to me! Being able to wake up in the morning and not have someone yelling at me, telling me what I have to wear, how to wear it and how to fix my hair. Being able to go into public and say what i want to say.

Freedom is independence, creativity, and doing what you love. Freedom is breaking away from the net that ensnares you and keeps you away from achieving greatness. By having freedom Americans have earned several rights: freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of press, freedom of religion, the freedom to dress how you choose and to not be judged for it, and the right to bear arms.
When people think of America one of the first things that comes to mind is freedom. I personally think that freedom describes our country in a great way because that is one of the ideas that our country was built on. It gives us the right to make the choices we want, think what we want to think, and do what we want to do within the limits of the law. I think that in our country Freedom is often overlooked and some people often misuse it. In this day and age it is important to notice how people abuse freedom, what freedom looks like, and why freedom is important to the people of this country.
What is freedom? Is it an absolute right or is it something we can live without it? People born to be free. Throughout history freedom defined differently according to different cultures and different period of time. Freedom shows an alteration cultures to culture.
In 1787, our founding father’s agreed to write a list of principals for keeping people free. Freedom must be limited. People can not just say they are free. You can not just kill or violate just for freedom. There should be respect for people’s wants and needs.
