Going in a large-scale earning activates for non-profits organizations is justifiable for couple of causes. Non-profit organizations look for sustainability through engaging in earning income ventures. They look to provide for the community for a long-term period. Also, they need to cover their administration cost. As well as, they need financial stability to grow their business and beneficiaries’ target. However, engaging in profit seeking activates could disturb nonprofit managers from their core mission. They will exaggerate their financial activates that will affect their decisions and by the end will let the social goals unmet. CompuMentor will focus on reaching the society and those in need. They are providing other non-profits organization with technology assistants. They are working with them to use technology in an efficient way. While, DiscounTech will act as the earned-income venture hub for CompuMentor to maintain its success. DiscounTech will try to cover the administrative cost by obtaining fees for the services they provide. DiscounTech will not only try to keep CompuMentor in the non-profit business, but also will help it to grow bigger and reach more beneficiaries. Their lack of marketing information system doesn’t help them to utilize promotions and referrals. Word of mouth is the common source of awareness of DiscounTech with 26%. They rely on friends and colleagues to advertise about their services. Also, referrals form CompuMentor website account for 26% of the awareness about DiscounTech. Additionally, TechSoup website is a good sources for awareness for them (14%). In addition to that, they use email newsletter and search engine to advertise but they are not effective to generate fuzz about DiscounTech. However, print advertising and banner ads are the least common sources of awareness for DiscounTech with less than 2%
