I will contribute to the diversity at CSU because I am myself diverse. I come from a Mexican background and a place known for diversity. I have lived in Montbello for 10 years now, so I have interacted with lots of people from lots of different backgrounds. My school is also international so we get to know from Brazil, Finland, Thailand, etc. I am able to interact easier with different people because of my experiences.

Brave New World, written by Aldous Huxley, shows the starkness of a world where uniformity is paramount and diversity is despised as the root of instability. No one thinks for themselves, but instead they simple echo what they have been programmed to say. Every person is bred to act and think the same as others in their social class. Diversity Statement My current field education placement at the vineyard church of Evanston, which is a part of my master of divinity program bring people from fifty-five different nations. These people come from different socioeconomic backgrounds. This is my second year at this placement which ends in the May of this year. I simply want to be a teacher that makes a difference in the school. I want to be a positive influence, not only on my students but on other staff in the school as well. This article explained many great points that those six schools stand by in creating a successful environment for their Hispanic students and I, as a teacher leader, want to take those suggestions and use them and create an environment in my future school that is welcoming and accepting to English language learners. I truly believe that every child has great potential, they just need the proper education to be able to reach out and achieve their goals. As an elementary education major, reading about people who are determined to make a positive change in our schools is restorative to my hope for our students’ futures.

We live in a very diverse and exciting world today. Technology is advancing rapidly every single day. With that we have advancements in modern warfare. And with that comes fear from all citizens throughout the world, and rightfully so. Citizens fear the intentions of other countries, and they should.
America is such a diverse country. People immigrate to this country from all over the world. My family emigrated from Bangladesh in the early 1990’s. Race and ethnicity contributes a great deal in our current society. It all began when people found wealth through natural recourse which attracted people from different countries to come and discover the new world.
The diversity I have had the opportunity to work with includes socioeconomic status, variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. In my classroom, I would like to see a student first classroom. I want all my students to receive the best learning experience. To make sure this happens I will respect all students no matter their diversity. I will teach students about diversity and viewing situations from others perspectives.
All students deserve to be treated fairly as individuals. When considering the diversity of the class members, we will celebrate the uniqueness that the differences contribute. Because I have high expectations that all my children can be successful, adjustments may be necessary because everyone is not the same (Burden, 2017, p. 115). It is vital that a spirit of understanding and edification is active amongst the students and from the teacher (Romans 14:19, King James Version) to produce fruits of mutual respect: reduced bias, positive academic outcomes, enhanced problem solving, and healthy group dynamics (Cousik, 2015, p. 54). For differences that stem from culture, gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, the adjustments will involve bridging the cultural gap between the students’ diversity and the curriculum.
