EMC Application Essay

What I like about the Early Middle College program is that students are able to graduate with an associates degree from their high school after being enrolled for a fifth year. They can also complete their fifth year in the Early Middle College program and transfer to a four year university that they are accepted into. What I like best about the program is that it comes with little cost for the student if they complete their classes with an acceptable grade.

Out of the three EMC options, I would want to obtain my associates degree by the end of my fifth year of attending Clare High School. However, I would also consider obtaining up to 30 college credits and job shadow or receive an internship. Both are great options that would bring me closer to

First of all, I am able to adjust and adapt to different learning environments. Second, learning is one of the things that I enjoy; acquiring more knowledge, obtaining a better education to play a greater role in society, and to be able to contribute my ideas to the world are all reasons why I like to learn. And finally, I do well academically, which goes well with my interest in learning.

I know that I will be required to overcome many obstacles to be successful in Early Middle College. One of the most important things I will need to do to succeed will be to ask for help and seek guidance on my own more often than I do. Another very important thing I will need to do is be more responsible and pay attention to everything I am told. I will also need to start keeping a planner or an agenda to aid with remembering my responsibilities.

I hope to obtain my associates degree by the end of my fifth year at Clare High School. At the very least, I want to complete some college before my time with the Early Middle College draws to a close so the amount of college expenses I need to pay for will be
