The main purpose of education is to ensure that the youth of today grow up to become individuals with the competence to live morally and productively in our society. Their foundation has been set with the tools needed in order to become their best self. Portraying qualities such as; professionalism, respectfulness, dependability, dedication, determination, humility and accountability. All of which, is modeled and learned from teacher’s with the passion and drive to make a difference. For as long as I can remember, working with children is all I have ever wanted to do. Through my own personal experience, I have seen how a teacher can either positively or negatively affect a child’s life. As a matter of fact, I made a commitment to myself that not only will I be that teacher who leaves a positive impact in my student’s lives, I will strive to be the best. With this intention, I will take the time to get to know each of my students, know where they are in their learning, so I can get them to where they need to be. …show more content…

In particular, my students will know that in my classroom, they will have a voice. Notably, they will feel equal that they are equal with the teacher because I will show them how to respect each other, by showing them respect. I am a true believer that a child cannot be expected to do, what has not been taught. Even though, each student will be expected to meet certain standards, they will be challenged individually.
