Apply Teaching Styles and Models to Classroom Management One of the most important models that a teacher can do is model to the students what effective modeling looks like. There are several teaching models and classroom management styles that are implemented in the classroom today. However, understanding teaching and learning styles is essential to promoting achievement and outcomes in the classroom. Understanding and implementing effective classroom management and discipline approaches will further help to ensure safe learning environments where students are engaged and will maximize student learning time in the classroom. There are a number of interventions that are classroom based developed to improve both social and behavioral outcomes for teachers and students. Consequently, the majorities have focused on students and have directed less attention to how the teachers have been affected either short- term or in long- term isolations (Brubaker, 2012). The outcome should focus on providing supporting strategies for both teachers and students while implementing effective teaching styles and classroom management models. In this paper I will analyze teaching styles and models to classroom management. The subsequent focus will be limited to conflict resolution and peer mediation. In addition, I will provide a description to my chosen classroom management along with philosophical or theoretical underpinnings. Next, an explanation will be included to why this particular approach is effective in the classroom, and why it might be better suited to a particular educational environment or setting. Thirdly, a description will be included detailing where I fall on the continuum of teacher-centered to student-centered teaching approaches. Finally, I will include remarks on how my
