Teaching Philosophy Statement

I will start this letter about my teaching philosophy with a quote that helped me as a student and later on inspired me as an elementary teacher as well. “Every student can learn just not on the same day or the same way” George Evans

An effective teacher must be able transmit a positive attitude to their students, make them feel that they can and will succeed. To be an effective teacher we must understand that each student is unique and has an unique way and speed of learning, by recognizing their uniqueness and understanding their strengths and weaknesses a teacher will be more prepared to provide them with the tools necessary to succeed academically.

However, in my experience, to effectively manage the classroom teachers should not only rely on a well organized lesson plan and their knowledge of the subject being taught, teachers must also recognize that each and every student are different and understand their unique needs. In order to achieve an effective classroom management a teacher must also be:

Fair
Give clear instruction
Be confident and somewhat flexible
Get to know and understand their students
Accept diversity and learn from their different backgrounds
Encourage student interaction
Have a positive relationship with students
Make students feel
