Describe legislation and regulations, working strategies and procedures used in health and social care to reduce the risks of two types of abuse. Evaluate the role of multi-agency working to reduce the risk of abuse of adults, with reference to legal frameworks, regulations, working strategies and procedures.

A multi-agency is involving the cooperation between several organizations, especially in crime prevention social welfare programmes, or research. Safeguarding adults encompasses a range of activities, including the prevention and reduction of abuse. All professionals engaged in supporting adults are focused on preventing abuse and harm within their everyday practice. Services should be provided in a way that maximises a person’s self-esteem, independence, choice and control. Abuse is about the misuse of the power and control that one person has over another.
