I find the SAE the most interesting, mostly for the great amount of opportunities it opens up. With all of the different categories you can have an SAE no matter what you do and a wide variety of opportunities. Opportunities such as meeting new people, traveling, scholarships, grants towards growing and improving your SAE. The SAE has an amazing ability to transform kids into young adults with the responsibility that are set on them.
A person who takes charge and is not afraid of being embarrassed, or creates a new path for people who do not understand or needs help understanding. Somebody people look up to and are not afraid to ask them for help. I demonstrate leadership when I get called out for a fires with the fire department, when a fellow jr fire fighter does not know where something is or does not know what to do they always come to me. At the fire department when we are training I am always the first to volunteer and try something new to demonstrate to the jr fire fighters to not stand in the corner and be afraid and just to jump up and not be afraid to volunteer.
Advocacy is important to the agriculture industry today because, without it there would be no strive to get better. Without a strive to get better agriculture.

connections will help me in the future by possibly getting a job or getting further with my high school ffa career. These connections made at HYMAX will help out with something just as simple as someone putting in a good word to improve my social status as a leader. HYMAX will provide a foundation in agricultural leadership and prepare me to embrace agriculture and leadership opportunities throughout my high school career.
