I adored the sciences. Ever since I was little, I was intrigued with how the human mind can come up with answers about life no matter how big or small. I enjoyed how math can be combined with science to determine the mass of a molecule or the earth. The thrill I have for the sciences-particularly Chemistry- inspired me to ponder about my future and thinking of being part of a field that involves Chemistry. I have enjoyed learning about mathematics and the sciences since adolescence and after several appointments with my advisors, relatives and the internet I recognized that I can combine both subjects in a career in pharmacy.
The power of medicine does not solely depend on surgery, but in combination with drugs. Pharmacy is an imperative field to be in because pharmacists are heavily involved in experimenting and introducing new medications for all kinds of illnesses, which I believe is inspiring. As of right now, as a current Honors College freshman studying in the Rutgers Newark Campus I am on the 2+4 track to acceptance into the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. If I transfer successfully and complete my four years at the School of Pharmacy, I intend to work at a Pharmaceutical company as a pharmaceutical researcher or a pharmacist …show more content…

Since I am interested in the research aspect of Pharmacy, this fellowship will give me the opportunity for me to conduct research in the laboratories. This will be the first time I had done research, and will give me a head start by getting to know the process of pharmaceutical research. This opportunity will be beneficial because I will be more confident in the field knowing I had the experience while in I was an undergraduate. Also it will give me a better picture of what kind of research I would enjoy doing during and once I finish Pharmacy
