I grew up in a single parent household, my mother who struggled to take care of me, instilled the prize of an education. Therefore, I always knew I wanted to go to college. I attended school at Lafayette High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. It has more students than any high school in Louisiana with about 2500 students enrolled. Lafayette High is also home to the gifted program of the parish as well as a health academy which offers students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various aspects of the medical field and provides them with experience in hospitals. Finally, the school offers a myriad of extracurriculars for students to participate in outside of school hours. I am proud to say that I was a part of the gifted program at Lafayette High and had the opportunity to study under some great teachers.

Upon graduating from UW Madison, I hope to be able to pursue a career in the real estate development field. Real estate is so fascinating to me, and it has many different aspects and paths to go within the field. I want to be able to work with developers to plan sites and figure out what type of buildings to build. I would like to be able to work in a bigger city such as Milwaukee or Chicago, where there is a lot of development. I have always had a fascination with cities and buildings.
