Goodwill was founded in 1902 in Boston by Edgar J. Helms, who was also a Methodist minister. Helms collected used household goods and clothing in wealthier areas of the city, then trained and hired those who were poor to mend and repair the used goods. Then he would sit out his house and sell them for little or nothing and shared his profit with all who had helped, giving them the opportunity to work. Goodwill meet the needs of all job seekers, including programs for youth, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities, criminal backgrounds and other specialized needs. In 2016, Goodwill helped more than 313,000 people train for careers in industries such as banking, and healthcare all over the world. I chose Goodwill because I shop at Goodwill and find amazing deals that they offer to me and the management is always excellent. Goodwill does not need to invest in stocks and bonds because they are not now and they are doing just fine. Entering in stocks and bonds and mutual funds could have them hurt them. I believe should invest into work with other types of organizations that help with diversity and special needs. They should start having ¨fun days¨ at the Boys and Girls Club. A ¨fun day” is a day where kids can sit at the Boys and Girls club and maybe tie dye old shirts that they had found at Goodwill. Investing in projects like this can easily help them in the future. People will see how good they are, and start shopping or even donate to them. They could also invest their time into Friendship and MiChild. They could also work with the special needs children and adults that cannot go out and do things like others can, so they could come to them. They could donate things for Christmas and have a work day where they help with crafts and such. In 5 years, I believe that the business will shoot up and the love for Goodwill will as
