Mission statements will ensure that shareholders, employees and customers clearly understand what the company stands for. Mission statements also describe the organization’s overall goals. Mission statements should be written in a way that when someone reads the statement, they have an understanding of the activities that are performed in the organization. In this paper I will compare the mission statement of Chick-Fil-A Foundation with my personal mission statement. Chick-fil-A Foundation Chick-fil-A Foundation is a non-profit organization that’s sole purpose is to provide leadership and guidance to children and also support education in the local communities.
Kentucky Board of Nursing mission statement: The Kentucky Board of Nursing protects the well-being of the public by development and enforcement of state law governing the safe practice of nursing, nursing education and credentialing. Law & Regulations: An APRN (licensed by the Board and certified by a national organization in an advanced practice role and population foci) must first determine whether the statutes (the Nurse Practice Act) prohibit the action in question. For example, an APRN designated as a Family Nurse Practitioner may not write a prescription for a Schedule II drug for 30 days. This action would be outside the APRN, designated FNP’s scope of practice. (KRS 314.011(8) (a)
We continuously strive to improve the health of the community we serve and become the provider of choice for Health Care delivery and education" (Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, 2012). The biggest gripe that anyone should have with this is just how generic it sounds. This mission statement does nothing to make this organization stand out from any other ones in the area. On top of this, there was no vision statement to be found. Even though it does mention is it a safety net hospital, there a good chance that the people they serve would not understand what this means, It is something that needs to be stated in plain terms.
Part of their mission statement is “to make healthcare easier, so that life can be better” (Banner Health, 2018). I have a 2.65 GPA currently before I transferred to SGU I had a 3.0 GPA. I believe moving off campus will help me promote the mission because it will help me focus on what matters the most to me which is my academics, communal, and spiritual growth as a Christian. Before I came to SGU I had great grades, doing things for the community, and being able to be with my local church. I wasn't living on campus while at my last school so I could focus more on my school and God. I will explain why this is important to me and for my life to live off campus.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is not an association that I was familiar with prior to this post. AHRQ’s mission statement is to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare in America (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2015). Like many other associations, such as Healthy People and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation the goal is the same, which is to better healthcare in America. While every association offers something different, the AHRQ offers a great tool for healthcare providers such as nurse practitioners. Some of the tools offered include continuing education events and up-to-date clinical guidelines and recommendations.
The values and vision of MEDEX is what draws me to this school and what makes it my top choice. Including the ideas and emphasis on compassion and outreach, in which, is part of the foundation of healthcare itself. The compassion I obtain and have received from various experiences is what drives my desire towards becoming a Physician Assistant. My medical mission to Haiti created a fire in me to need to travel to places where care is in high demand. I gained the understanding that when healthcare has the foundation of compassion it can bring forth a great sense of appreciation.

The changing climate as a result of the advent of value-based care continues to place significant demands on hospitals, medical providers, healthcare organizations, and physicians to take a completely new look at the marketing strategy. To be viable today, healthcare organizations have to utilize effective strategic planning to develop integrated marketing strategies that makes it efficient and easy for the target population to identify what they need, make informed decisions, and provide insights and new information – not just basic promotion.
