A vital component of the human resource manager's job includes strategically locating and recruiting qualified candidates to work in a defined environment. Companies and school district's need knowledgeable managers with experience in personnel and organizational management to structure programs, practices, and procedures that support an equitable employee and employer relationship. Also, the human resource manager monitors employment trends and regulate legal compliance with state and federal mandates. In June 2009, the Simpson County School District employed Ms. Elizabeth Christian as Human Resource Manager. Before the Manger's position, Ms. Christian worked in a supervisory management capacity overseeing the day to day operations of the companies call center for five years. Moreover, during her time a Century Link, Ms. Christian worked with four different unions and has an exceptional background in labor law and conflict negotiation. As a consequence, Ms. Christian views the Human Resource Manager position as an extension of the community in which she represents.
