Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
Similar to other immigrants my family history is somewhat compelling. Starting with my grandfather who was exiled out of Egypt in 1959 primarily as a result of the "decolonization process and the rise of Egyptian nationalism”, my immediate family and I also left France in 2004 as a result of rising tension against Jews. The migration of my grandparents and parents, from a young age, cultivated a sense of determination in me to overcome obstacles. Arriving in Miami at age 5, I had to learned my third language, English, in order to attend school. I was determined to and successfully lost my accent and got tested into the gifted program after a year of school.
I am interested in Howard University because it is an HBCU that encompass the themes of cultural diversity and education. Your commitment to scholars ensures me that at your school I will be right at home. Since I intend on on going down a medical path, I know that Howard University will provide me with best resources to follow my dreams. As a child I was always interested in the worlds around me and how things worked. As a result I participated in a Summer Enrichment Program located at Indiana University in Bloomington.
I want to apply to UW-Madison because of my love for learning how humans work through psychology. As a child, I was always faced with the same question, “Why did they do that?” From then on, I always found myself analyzing every aspect from any angle I could. When I began taking social and government classes, another interest of mine, I found every point easier to understand because of my knowledge of psychology. UW became my number one because my mental health care team all have degrees from your school.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My involvement with speech, debate and sports has made me more than just an academic person In the pursuit of excellence and with a passion to reach the highest skills in my discipline, I look upon University of Texas, Arlington a springboard to accomplish my dreams. This esteemed institution can serve as a ladder and enable me to achieve higher aims by providing me the most contemporary input and exposure.
I’ve always wanted to live in the city, and going to NYU has the advantage over west coast cities since I would be close to my family. The summers of my younger years were spent with my grandparents in New York City. I remember looking out at awe as I rode the subway across the Manhattan bridge. During the school year, my family would often go on the weekends from our home in New Jersey into Manhattan to have some dim sum and go shopping. Of course, the city also has practical features.
NYU is my first choice for many reasons. It is well known that NYU has a long history as it was established in 1831 by Albert Gallatin with the intention to set up “a system of rational and practical education fitting for all and graciously opened to all.” YNU is one of the largest private universities in the United States and now enrolls over 50,000 students worldwide in its three campuses in New York City, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai. I am interested in finance and business and NYU Stern program of Business is my ideal place for my future study. In this school B.S., M.B.A., and Ph.D. degrees are offered and students may specialize in course related to business and finance, like accounting, finance, marketing, and international business, which
For the last couple of years my biggest goal has become to study, live, work and succeed in the New York City. I’m particularly interested in NYU, because I am careerist with a lot of determination and perseverance, willing to work as hard as possible to reach my main goal, of succeeding in the entertainment industry. While visiting NYC last year, I got the impression that no university represents NYC, the city of opportunities to me, better than NYU does. NYU’s diversity and the opportunities that it provides to the hardworking students are priceless and is something that undeniably attracts me a lot. I have expressed interest in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development as my primary program of interest and Media,
Located in the heart of Greenwich village-one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in New York, NYU, with its globally renowned professors, unlimited internship prospects, and opportunities to create a diverse network, ensures an unparalleled platform to get a first hand experience of what is learnt in classes. The curriculum, extensive study abroad opportunities, and the diverse student community available at NYU provide an invigorating ambience in which a student can evolve as a well-rounded human being. Over the years, I have realized that the choice of school is as important as the selection of the appropriate course as this will provide the required launch pad for me to reach the zenith of excellence in my chosen field. However, future leaders
New York is a city that I want to live in; And NYU offers the best finance program. I want to study in New York because New York is a very competitive and fast-paced city, which is similar to my hometown, Hong Kong. I believe that competitions make people grow, and fast dynamics urges us to better equip ourselves in a society that is full of changes. New York totally fits in to these conditions. Living in Massachusetts for 2 years, I feel that people here are so chill and never rush.
My primary motivation for enrolling in CSU was due to my constant regret for not having attended college immediately out of high school. I went directly to work in an office. Although I have been very successful in my career, I have noticed many Executive Assistant job postings indicate the demand for a Bachelor’s Degree. I personally would find it very gratifying to achieve obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
At the Indiana University, I am excited about the many opportunities. I look forward to pursuing a career in business, volunteer opportunities, and the internships. The different opportunities and unique programs provided to the students is incomparable. The internships at Indiana will help the progression of my education as it will test me to relate the knowledge I gained to the real world. The different areas I intern in will help me figure out what I want to do in life with my degree.
But it was the only school I had ever thought about; I had not even looked at any other school. I knew I wanted to be able to stay in Indiana so I could stay close to my mom and be able to come home on the weekends. I didn't want to venture anywhere too far. As senior year went on and college application fees, deadlines, cap and gown order forms, and scholarships filled my head, I started to look into Indiana University; which I
I plan to achieve my goals through hard work, time, and dedication. I know that it is not going to be easy, but the outcome will be all worth it in the
