I read the book The Indian School by Gloria Whelan and the genre is Biography. In my book there is 96 pages. According to goodreads.com someone wrote that “the book sends a good message about the importance of maintaining a person’s culture, especially for children. ”I think this would be a good book for 8-12 and it would be the perfect for these ages because it the vocabulary is not to hard and if you love read about story 's from the past this would be a great book for you. The protagonists in this book the is a girl named Lucy and a girl named Raven.
In High School, there 's a strict lesson plan that schools follow when it comes to learning math or any other subjects. High School teaches their student all different types of history, math and a wider range of English and science classes. The question is, how do kids use these different type of course that they’re being placed in later on in their future? High School is where teenagers learn how to become responsible young adults, teaching high school students how to calculate income tax, manage their income, maintaining good credit, and other essential life skills. Instilling these lessons helps navigate them into the real world post high school.
The goals of the Indian Boarding schools are to assimilate Native American tribes to the American way of living (AIRC 1). In order to delay the learning of their native language. In school, students are prohibited to speak their language. Religious teaching is also a goal of the boarding schools. The students are taught the standards of Christianity.
Open campus high school helps improve student behavior. “Research shows that teen drug use and other dangerous behavior is highest between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. - the unsupervised hours between the end of school day and the time parents get home from work” (Merino 89). The mistakes or little flaws of a few students should not affect the students who did not do anything wrong (Saslow). At Frankfort High School some city school leaders hope that reviving open campus will better connect students with their community (Schanding). Open campus is not a matter of closing opening the campus (Saslow).

Do we give children and students too many trophies? Many would say no, we have to work for what we want in life. Not to just receive it on a silver platter. Kids who are praised for their effort rather than their ability to strive harder, enjoy activities more, and deal with failure in a more resilient way. Trophies are for those who strive to do better in any type of activity, whether it is a sport, extra curriculum.

St Margaret’s ensure that all staff can identify and provide for those pupils who have speech, language and communication needs to allow them to join in with the activities of the school. At last, high school should be abolished because students waste their time at high school. Students learn through high school education, but when they need to some materials about science or history, they will search through Internet or book instead of remembering. In “Abolished High School?” the author explains better ways than going high school, and claims “High school ought to be abolished, since the first two years of college have essentially become the last two years of high school” (Mary, n.p.). She describes that last two years of high school program is same with the first two years of college. Students such as freshman and sophomore of college learn what used to be high school repeatedly.
Prior to independence, the educational system in India was of ten years consisting of middle and high schools. English, Vernacular languages, Mathematics, History, Geography and Science were the major subjects to be taught. Change may be described as the adoption of an innovation (Carlopio 1998), where the ultimate goal is to improve outcomes through an alteration of practices. The above saying can truly be applied on the modern education system. The society in the twenty first century is increasingly diverse, globalized, and complex and media-saturated. In today’s world of technology, the olden education system with its teacher-centered approach, passive learning, time based, textbook driven, fragmented curriculum, low expectations from the learner does not seem to cater to the learning needs of twenty first century students.
We cannot exclude technology which helps to develop all these characteristic of the modern classroom. These classrooms help student to enhance their knowledge and to prepare themselves for higher
