When I think of theology, I instantly want to break the word down. I have a science background and understand unfamiliar words by looking at their parts. For me, theology is theo- or God and -ology or the study of. From this, I understand theology to be the study of God. Studying God is most familiar to me as something that members of the historical clergy had the freedom to indulge in all the time.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I am hoping that this will broaden my experiences and open up lots of opportunities to grow. When I have completed my education, my goal is to return to a rural area in Iowa bringing home all of the things I have learned in my academic career and get an occupation as a social media specialist at an ag company.
As I think of the University of Mississippi, the aspect that most impresses me, and is an addition to my desire to immerse myself in this prominent learning community is the University's outstanding resources. I am very attracted to the opportunity to explore and learn at the University of Mississippi's science departments. Science has been my academic passion ever since I entered middle school. Since then, I have always wanted to get into the medical field to become a neurologist. I believe the brain is a black box with endless mysteries waiting to be explored.
I want to apply to UW-Madison because of my love for learning how humans work through psychology. As a child, I was always faced with the same question, “Why did they do that?” From then on, I always found myself analyzing every aspect from any angle I could. When I began taking social and government classes, another interest of mine, I found every point easier to understand because of my knowledge of psychology. UW became my number one because my mental health care team all have degrees from your school.
One of the most appealing things about University of Oregon is the active inclusion and constant work towards creating a more expansive community. I hope to study Philosophy with a minor in ethnic studies or women and gender studies. These majors I feel will help me pursue my personal goal of a diverse education. As a woman from a conservative part of the east bay with a unique connection to the LGBTQ+ community, I feel that I have a lot to offer to the diverse discourse that The University of Oregon offers. Additionally being a person of privilege I see that I have a responsibility to take a set back and listen to those who have less fortunate geopolitical locations.

Vincennes University's associate degree programs in aviation are particularly appealing to me. The combination of programs, including Aviation Flight Technology and Aviation Maintenance Technology, creates a stimulating and comprehensive learning environment. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the school fosters a sense of comfort and belonging. My experience with Vincennes University through Area 31 solidified my desire to attend. The diverse academic programs ensure a well-rounded education, while the university's commitment to experiential learning, internships, and industry partnerships equips future students like me to practice practical skills for future employment.
As an aspiring physician, I believe that ILS will prepare me for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Through the connections, opportunities, and support I will receive in the ILS program, I know that I will best be prepared to apply to medical school. I value mentorship and am excited to have access to faculty mentors to guide me in my progress. The close community between peers and professors intrigues me to join this community and learn from a like-minded community. I am specifically excited to take new courses such as HLSC208, to learn about connections between molecular biology and computer programming.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My involvement with speech, debate and sports has made me more than just an academic person In the pursuit of excellence and with a passion to reach the highest skills in my discipline, I look upon University of Texas, Arlington a springboard to accomplish my dreams. This esteemed institution can serve as a ladder and enable me to achieve higher aims by providing me the most contemporary input and exposure.
University of Chicago has the major I am interested in, Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neuroscience. Through the wide variety of study abroad opportunities the university offers, I could study about Middle Eastern civilizations in Jerusalem or civilizations while in Vienna. Along with studying abroad, I would love to take a Big Problem course in my senior year of college. A Big Problem course would give me the skills and knowledge needed to face major problems in the field I desire to pursue, the medical field. I aspire to become a pediatric neurologist to help alleviate the impact a mental or intellectual disability has on children with special needs.
In the fall I will be going to Kent State University and majoring in Fashion Design. I want to show the world that clothes and the way we dress is just another form of expression. Fashion doesn’t have to be expensive and garish, it can be fun and creative and expressive. I want to help people show you they are on the inside, on the outside. I hope to start my own clothing line after.
The reason why I apply for the University of Pittsburgh is that this university offers a doctorate program in STEM. A doctorate program in STEM can bridge my Bachelor’s in Physics and Master’s in Mathematics and Computer Science degrees. The School of Education is devoted to the Pittsburgh area educators and its constant evolving curriculum in education. I am also attracted to the fact the University of Pittsburgh School of Education is ranked the 30th “Best Graduate School in Education” in 2016 by U.S. News & World Report. I attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics minoring in Mathematics.
At the Indiana University, I am excited about the many opportunities. I look forward to pursuing a career in business, volunteer opportunities, and the internships. The different opportunities and unique programs provided to the students is incomparable. The internships at Indiana will help the progression of my education as it will test me to relate the knowledge I gained to the real world. The different areas I intern in will help me figure out what I want to do in life with my degree.
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
