The Holocaust
From the early 1930’S to 1945 millions of innocent people of were forcefully removed from their homes and ultimately were killed in a mass genocide known as the Holocaust. Have you ever imagined what life would be like in the Holocaust? Many people were forced to be patients in medical experiments against their will. People went through times that we would call horror. Imagine one day waking up and soldiers telling you to get out of your house? The fact of having to leave your home is bad, but how about if you have to leave your family. Elie Wiesel once said “For the dead and the living, we must bear witness.”

This was called the NSDAP. It was called the nazi party soon after, and rose to power in Germany. There were several doctors in Germany with ties to the Nazi Party(Roberts). They designed experiments to help the axis cause, and to learn more about the human body They basically treated the Jews in concentration camps as human laboratory animals. If you were in the concentration camp they would do experiments on you. The doctors would lie to the patients and tell them that the experiments would help you not harm you. The actual nazi experiments were for killing and torture,The prisoners in concentration camps were under supervision 24/7 so they couldn't escape. An example was experiments with hypothermia. German doctors would sit prisoners in a tank of ice water until they froze to death to see what temperature and how long humans could survive in cold water. Hardly anyone lived, but the ones that did wrote about their experiences. There are still available to read today(Gitlin). There were also many procedures of medical experiments that were very difficult and unethical. Doctors are supposed to help patients not harm them. Prisoners would wear a protective jacket and headgear. Then they will take your heart rate, rectal temperature and your pulse (Weindling).
The Nuremberg trials took place in 1945-1946. The trials were for leaders of the nazi party that had committed war crimes. Representatives from the United States, Britain, The Soviet Union, and France made up the International Military that conducted the trials. In the Reichstag elections they got the right to vote. The deputy and the Reich Minister are acting in agreements. Although when you are half or partly jewish its very hard to try to vote. Also before you vote you have to have admission.
