Henry Ford once said “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success.” This phase also describes the inter-professional practise, it is to provide the best care for a patient whilst negotiating within a team of healthcare. Understanding each other roles within a healthcare environment is also important to promote patients centred care and service.The ability to negotiate with a healthcare team in order to provide the best care for the patients is also known as inter-professional practice. Some healthcare team members could include doctors, physiotherapist and nurses. Their role includes taking the history from a patient and also facilitating a sense of peace if not clear (Megan Best, 2014). Examining their patients using assessments such as head-to-toe, Body system, Gordon’s Functional Health Assessment. With these assessments, the doctor has a better understanding of their patient. Therefore, the doctor can talk to their patient what might be wrong as well as how to change their lifestyle in order to balance (neutralise) their patients. By having different tests taken can also have doctors more aware/ understanding of the patient status. However, a successful teamwork inter-professional practise is based on collaboration communication and teamwork (Oandasn et,2006; registered Nurse Association of Ontario). Having a really strong inter-professional communication within a healthcare can increase the skills and responsibilities of the healthcare group.
