1. I am interested in re-applying to be a part of both the June and Fall Orientation programs because I not only want to continue to assist students during their transitions and development throughout Providence College, but also to better myself as a leader, a role model, and a person. Whenever I look back upon on my experiences as being an Orientation Leader, I am honestly surprised by how much I’ve grown and developed from having a major leadership position, especially one focused solely on bettering others. I have been fortune enough to have met so many different people from so many different places and backgrounds and learn from the experiences and stories of others to better myself and fill my leadership toolbox with skills I’d never thought I’d learn from not even a month of trainings, group meetings, and workshops. By returning to the Orientation Staff for the Fall Orientation Program, I believe that I would be developing rich relationships with my freshmen and become more of a consistent role model and resource during their first year. While Group 6 was very engaged and opened about specific transition issues during the Orientation program, I would challenge my new group to question more, to not be afraid of talking to people about their issues, and to overall become more prominent figure in their lives. I also hope that as a returning Orientation Leader I could also teach the new Orientation Leaders thrive to be role models of their own. I hope that my constant encouragement and motivation to help others succeed and push themselves to achieving greatness will make others follow in my foot steps and inspire others to reach out to their friends/acquaintances to better themselves and grow
