Leadership philosophy helps a leader to thrive and achieve remarkable milestones. As part of the leadership philosophy, leaders should possess and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills because they positively impact leadership outcomes. A good leader should have emotional intelligence, demonstrate competence, establish relational leadership, understand others, integrity, incorporate diversity, a good understanding of their environment, understanding teams or groups, understand change, and understand strategies for change. The purpose of this paper is to review and evaluate how the course impacts iviews, values, beliefs, and assumptions about leadership.

A leader must first understand the environment in terms of a group or an organization and then take into consideration the mission, vision, and core values (Komives et al., 2013). Given the workforce diversity in the majority of the organizations today, a good understanding of the environment and others is crucial to guarantee effective leadership. According to Simpson (2012), good leaders inspire confidence in themselves, whereas great authority figures inspire the team members’ confidence.
