Part A Introduction Yahoo’s outgoing CEO, Marissa Mayer, is one leader who has attained various achievements in her career in technology and internet companies. Having also worked at Google, Marissa style of leadership combines multiple factors all that have helped her to the position of CEO. Part B of this essay discusses Marissa’s career overview from her educational background to career highlights and achievements. Part C discusses Marissa’s personality and leadership style using various concepts including: personality and leadership style, courage and moral leadership, culture and values, communication, motivation and empowerment, power and influence, and vision and strategic direction. Part B Career Overview Yahoo’s former CEO Marissa Mayer joined the company in 2012 and left in the late 2017. Marissa was born in 1975 in Wasau, Wisconsin and went to Wasau West High school where she graduated in 1993. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University where she took Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems graduating in 1997. She later pursued Master of Science in Computer Science and graduated in 1999 (Leahy, 2012).
