Using equation (1) we obtain the total time to be Tt=∑(0.30+0.08+1.42+0.39+0.34+0.50+0.09+0.16+0.32+0.50+0.07+0.30+0.09+1.57+0.30+0.09+1.57+0.21+0.43+0.41+1.03+0.28+0.13+.06+28.5+1.29+0.22+0.30+0.56+0.39+0.40) = 42.3 (min).

The main issue in this lab was determining the most efficient method of figuring out the six cards that are intentionally missing from the deck of cards. Multiple steps of trial and error were included for the discovery and effectiveness of the method as half of the group attempted one way while the other attempted another way. As the group agreed on the “best method” that were to be implemented, we decided to collect the data for that attempt first then the second best and finally the third, with each method including two team members working simultaneously. The first attempt was to be our “best method” as …show more content…

We obtain an average of 0.45 (min) after using equation (2), T¬ave¬ = ∑ Ti/N = ∑((0.56+0.39+0.40))/3 = 0.45 (min). From the results, we quickly learn that the proposed time for the first attempt, the “best method” is completely off to the actual results as our second attempt has a much better success rate than the first. Nonetheless, a strong indication for the relatively small difference in time between attempts is due partly to human error. The proposed time for our “best method” is 0.45 (min) as the fastest time for one person to complete the task is 1.20 (min). With the second and third trial beating the 50% of the fastest time completed by one person, we can safely assert that our team has achieved success by completing the required
