Mission statements will ensure that shareholders, employees and customers clearly understand what the company stands for. Mission statements also describe the organization’s overall goals. Mission statements should be written in a way that when someone reads the statement, they have an understanding of the activities that are performed in the organization. In this paper I will compare the mission statement of Chick-Fil-A Foundation with my personal mission statement. Chick-fil-A Foundation Chick-fil-A Foundation is a non-profit organization that’s sole purpose is to provide leadership and guidance to children and also support education in the local communities.

One thing that all businesses have in common is that they have a mission or vision statement that they use to define themselves and what they are about. The Arrow Head Medical Center in Colton, California has a mission statement that is not strong, is very generic, and for the reasons is probably why it is not displayed anywhere on their website. To give them a stronger identity to the community, and more tangible goal to reach for internally, it is necessary to create a new mission statement for this organization. The most recent mission statement for the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center I coul find was located on a 2012-2013 strategic plan.

The mission simply describes why the institution offers certain degree programs over others, why they only accept a select number of students, or why they have the requirement that they do, Calder(2011). According to Education Reform(2014), the mission is described as a statement that provides the institutions purpose and commitments to the students, stakeholders, and the community. Some people tend to use the terms mission and vision interchangeably, however the two have their own distinct meaning for the institution, Education Reform(2014). According to Calder(2014), the mission statement assists the institution in learning what things are good so they can proceed and build on those things and on the other hand to discover what things are bad so they can rid themselves of the negative things.

The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is to “fulfill President Lincoln's promise: "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan" by serving and honoring the men and women who are America's Veterans” (Department of Veterans Affairs, 2015). Since its inception, the Department of Veterans Affairs has undergone many changes however; its core mission remains unchanged. The VA’s mission statement serves as a guide for making organizational decisions and provides the framework for the future.
First, each group will break down the mission and vision statements for the school. Teachers will evaluate on paper what are the ideas, philosophies, and values of the mission and vision statement. This evaluation when help teachers get to the core of why the mission and vision exists, the accomplishments that they hoped to achieve, and what the statements essentially stand for. Second, teachers will look at their break down of the mission and vision statement and determine how does it align with the curriculum. They will take into account the values of the curriculum and the values of the mission and vision statement as they determine their internal and external alignment.

These goals and objective could be things such as no longer being fearful or to no longer assume everyone is bad. This program will assist each person to accomplish those goals. We will help them all the way through their counseling and help encourage them to meet those goals or surpass them. Permitting the victims to be the one to set a number of the goals allows them to feel like they are in control of their future. The victim and we will be able to use these goals put in place to track their improvement and be certain they are succeeding.
I want to pursue an M.S.S.W. at WTAMU because WTAMU have all the skills to teach me in become an effective social worker. The primary mission of West Texas A&M University Master of Science in Social Work mission is to assist graduates in working with rural communities facing unrelenting social and economic problems and that’s the population I want to work with. West Texas A&M University Master of Science in Social Work variety of theoretical perspectives which will help me in the future.
