Dear Jury Members: Have you ever dealt with a tragic murder case like this? The overall question is whether Mr. Bennet is guilty or not guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams. Mr. Bennet is not guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams because there is not enough evidence to prove it. Although the prosecution claims that Mr. Bennet was guilty, a reasonable doubt exists. Even though the prosecution believes that Mr. Bennet was guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams, they were incorrect. Instead, we have reason to believe that Mr. Mack was actually the one guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams. The strongest piece of evidence in this case that points toward the fact that Mr. Bennet is not guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams is that Mr. Mack was very jealous of Mr. Adams because he had bidded higher and bought the …show more content…

Bennet should not be found guilty for the murder of Mr. Adams, and Mr. Mack should be the one found guilty, is because some witnesses saw Mr. Mack hanging around Mr. Adams all evening, specifically when Mr. Adams had his coffee. The fact that Mr. Mack was hanging around Mr. Adams coffee most of the evening is really important to know. This is because Mr. Adams had been killed by rat poison in his coffee that evening. Mr. Mack claims that he had just been hanging around Mr. Adams all night because they were “friends”, even though Mr. Mack shows hatred for Mr. Adams. Most likely at some point throughout the evening when Mr. Mack was hanging around Mr. Adams, he could have easily snuck some rat poison into Mr. Adams drink. Like I said when police were interviewing Mr. Mack, he had explained that the only reason why he was hanging around Mr. Adams was because they were “friends.” This was most likely a lie because witnesses had told the police that Mr. Mack had strong hatred for Mr. Adams. This is another reason why Mr. Bennet should not be found guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams, and the one who should be found guilty of the murder of Mr. Adams is Mr.
