Dakota Besse 620 S. 4th St. Eldridge, IA 52748. Scott County Courthouse 400 W. 4th St. Davenport, IA 52801. Dear Jury Members: Have you ever had to choose someone's fate in a very difficult case? That is what the jury will have to do in this case, and it will not be an easy decision. In this paper I will show the evidence as to why Mr. Eldridge should be found guilty. One reason that he should be found guilty is because he had hate towards Mr. Eldridge. Another reason is he was spotted at the crime scene in the 2hr period that the murder took place. Another reason that he is guilty is because the murder weapon was found in his house with blood on it. One final reason that Mr. Eldridge is guilty is because he could have been paid by Barbra Wheeler to steal the recipe and killed Mr. Arms when he got caught. …show more content…

Eldridge is guilty is because in the trial it was stated that Mr. Eldridge told Patrick Lewis that Mr. Arms was a greedy pig and he was going to wish that he gave him a raise. This is showing signs of aggression, giving me reason to believe that Mr. Eldridge could have been the one to kill Mr. Arms. Another reason as to why Mr. Eldridge is guilty is because he was seen at the crime scene two hours before the body was found, this is showing that he was there while the murder took place. The same witness also stated that it was possible for him to have gone into the restaurant, committed the murder, then left, thinking he was not seen. Mr. Eldridge is guilty because there is reason to believe that Barbra Wheeler could have paid him money to steal the recipe, then while he was stealing it Mr. Arms caught him so he killed Mr. Arms. There is a big guarantee that Mr. Eldridge could have taken this deal due to the fact that he was on the verge of losing his house and he needed money. One last reason is that the murder weapon was found at his house with blood on it. If this is not evidence, I don't know what
