Throughout the semester, I have learned about the principles of leadership, and how I can apply each one into my future in the health field. The first principle is Model the Way. My understanding of this principle is that in order to be a leader, one must demonstrate the path to go on, in order to be successful. I will try to find alternatives to current practices so that we can excel in our field. If we follow traditional ways, we may get surpassed by more advanced practices. This principle, challenging the process, will be the hardest because it requires coming up with new ways to make the health care field better. According to The Leadership Challenge, in order to envision the future, one must look towards the past (115). So, if it is hard for me to envision a new style of practice, I can see which things in the past went well or what did not go very
