Ever since I could remember, I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher. When I was little I would pretend I was the teacher and my friends were my students. For the longest time I wanted to get my degree in elementary education and become a second grade teacher. I loved working with younger children and second grade was my favorite year in school. However, in high school, I changed my mind.
As an educator, it is important for me to be a positive role model in the lives of children in my presence. As a good educator, I would establish a healthy relationship with my students, by keeping the lines of communication open so they feel comfortable enough to talk to me about anything. As a good educator, I know it is also important for me to build strong relationships with the families of children in my care because I am a parent myself. I believe that the setting/ environment has a great influence on the growth and development of the children.
I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. I want to be a Kindergarten teacher and have since I was a small girl in Elementary School. Early Childhood Education encompasses kindergarten through second grade. After reading an article for another class about student debt and students coming out of college and not making enough money, I had become a bit discouraged about my decision to be a teacher. I did find through doing some research, a few things that I did not know.
I am advocating for young children so the government will stop making cut to the Education. Children need funding in schools to get a good education so that they can learn skills like problem solving which will teach them to figure things out for them selves, to be able to learn the skills that they need in life to make in the world, and they need a education to be able to get a job. Knowledge is a very powerful thing that can change the lives of children. The Government's aim is to develop an inclusive, world class higher education sector which provides students with the skills they need and helps to underpin a productive economy and cohesive society. In order to achieve that we need a higher education system that is more relevant
Throughout my entire life, I have always loved working with children of all ages. However, I did not know that I wanted to be a teacher until I began working at a daycare during my senior year of high school. I learned through my experiences at the daycare that I have something to offer children and that helping children succeed is one of the greatest rewards. I have had several teachers that made an impact on my life and I want to someday have that same effect on my own students.
Mathematics is elegant and fascinating, but is too often daunting for students, who may have been put off from math at an early age. I believe if students enjoy mathematics, and have the ambition and ability to study mathematics, then they can accomplish more than they can learn in a single class. Therefore, my priority as a teacher is to create a learning environment that fosters to these attributes. First, in order to foster to both ambition and ability, I employ active learning.
Since I was young, I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. I want to be a teacher to help people, inspire students to learn, and show everyone what the world has to offer. I chose elementary education because I am like a mature child myself in the sense that I love to explore new things. Igniting the desire to learn about the world, not just common core material, is a goal I aim to achieve for every student. I also want to teach young children to be compassionate, respectful, and capable in everyday life.
Reasons for entering the teaching profession Throughout my whole life, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my advanced education until my junior year of high school. I had a teacher that really related to my personality and talked to me about education and how much she enjoys teaching. I saw a lot of myself in her personality and she was a great fit for her role in teaching. When it was getting closer to graduation of high school, I knew that I wanted to be successful in my future and make a difference.
I realize that in my future classroom, I will have a diverse group of students. All of my students will be unique in their own way and may learn differently than the student next to them. There are so many types of diversity that can be found in a classroom. For example, student differences could include different reading levels, cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, etc. I believe schools have recently started discussing diversity more.
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I could remember. As a child, I would play school with my neighborhood friends. It was fun. It was exciting. It is thrilling to have someone understand what you are trying to show them.

My desire to teach originates from my own personal academic experience. At a young age, I was inspired by my teachers to learn as much as I can, and to use that knowledge to pursue my dreams. Similarly, I would like to ignite children’s desire to learn and encourage them to pursue their own dreams. The teachers who had the most positive impact on my academic and personal life were approachable, natural nurturers, passionate about teaching, and had a genuine interest in the lives of their students. These qualities I myself hope to develop as I pursue my dream in becoming an elementary teacher.
Ever since I was a little kid, I have wanted to teach. Every instructor I have had since kindergarten either inspired me to follow their direction, or pushed me to not be a “bad” teacher like them. As I grew older, I realized my preferred profession stemmed from a love a books and a thirst for knowledge. I loved learning, and everything, I learned, I wanted to share with others. People, including close family and friends, as well as semi- strangers would tell me I would make an excellent teacher.
Growing up in a house with a mom who is an educator showed me the importance of education and spreading the love I have for teaching others and helping them grow as a learner. I grew up surrounded by classrooms from a young age. I would hang out in my mom’s room in the morning and after school while she worked. I loved going to school and never wanted to miss a day for any reason. I loved school because of the teachers and staff I had and I would love to be the reason kids love coming to school as well.
I want to enter into the field of education because I want to see children succeed. I love to let children know that they can accomplish anything that they put their minds to. I want to enter the field of education because I genuinely have a passion to teach and better every child that I can. I aspire to be a teacher because I want to become a great teacher that kids can look up to. I hope to someday be a teacher that when a child grows up they still remember fondly.
