I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
I would like to attend Archbishop Mitty High School for many reasons. Some of those reasons are the community, the academics, and the athletics. After shadow days, the open house, and hearing from students one of the primary reasons to attend Archbishop Mitty High School is the community. The students and teachers really know and care about each other. There is so much love to go around for everyone.
I am interested in Georgia Tech because of everything the university has to offer. I love the emphasis on global vision, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. I plan to study engineering and wish to explore the wide range of advanced science and technology programs offered. The university mission to improve the human condition aligns with my goal to make a positive impact on society. In addition, Georgia Tech offers a rich campus life through its diverse student body and numerous student activities.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
Nonetheless, I wish to attend a school that I 'm proud to display any and everywhere. One that I could brag about to all my friends and family. USC Upstate is growing in the same way I am. We both want to get bigger and better. To be known nationally for all its strengths.
There is no particular reason why I chose Franklin College. I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do when I get older. A part of the reason why I chose Franklin College is because it’s far from home but, it’s still in Indiana. Franklin has a variety of places to work at and it’s located in a suburban
With BSU, I can connect with numerous students of color who want to create a safe and genuine space for people to connect and be themselves. Most importantly to me, the OSU, my whole life, my parents have repeatedly told me I was just “Ethiopian”. However, in a recent discovery, I found out that my mother's lineage is entirely Oromo, which is highly controversial among Ethiopian people. This is why it's one of the most important things to me to be able to join the OSU club, to be embraced by my peers, and to learn about the culture and customs that I never knew about, which certainly sets it apart from any other university. In terms of opportunities, UW is the only school I am certain I need to attend.
BGSU is also a decent amount cheaper, so that will make it a little easier for me in the future. No matter what I decide to do, I hope that I come out of college successful and happy, and that I don’t regret the decision that I
What specifically brings me to Appalachian State University. I have been living in Raleigh North Carolina for 16 years. I would like to explore more of the state of North Carolina have not had much of an opportunity to visit the area a lot in my lifetime, but it would be nice to see and get to know the region. I believe that Appalachian State University will help me further my career goals because I want to be an educator. Appalachian State has the best teaching colleges and many of my high school teachers graduated from Appalachian and hold me about the school, and hold the in high regard.
However there is no denying that Chicago provides an almost movie like, whimsical, adventure filled campus. Museums and theaters are present nearly everywhere in Chicago and the school offers discounts on admission. Public transportation is offered at both campuses, something that is very important to me because I will not have a car on
There are no boundaries or walls that will limit my potential and goals at NYU. Instead of being confined in a small box, I would be able to step outside of the box and explore the countless opportunities that New York City has to offer. There are even more
I decided to apply to Loyola because I believe that it will offer me the best education, athletics, and overall high school experience. My father and uncles attended Loyola, and all four received excellent educations while making life long friends. Through attending summer school, football games, and open houses, I am confident that Loyola is the best fit for me.
The invaluable research community and laboratory facilities at UVic would allow me to further develop an understanding of the disciplines of psychology while collaborating with others. The community connections that the faculty has with local hospitals and schools provide potential for practicum experiences that would allow me to build necessary skills for real world applications. Further, the work study and co-op opportunities that UVic promotes are instrumental and would contribute to the well-rounded education that I strive for. Furthering my education at UVic would not only benefit me academically, but also personally. Through course unions and student-led clubs at UVic, I would be able to create meaningful connections with like-minded individuals while cultivating a variety of interests.
Additionally, it is not just in the academic career that creates a successful person, it is how that person makes connections and functions in the industry. One of my film professors, Professor Erica Watson, played an important role in my decision to transfer. She told me that I had the dedication and the potential to go far. But in order for that to happen, I needed to experiment with different arenas to diversify my film knowledge. Having said that, the Communication School of Elon offers internships to most of the students which is a great opportunity for me to get more hands-on experiences.
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
