Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
NHS Personal Statement If I am accepted into National Honor Society, I believe I can make a lasting positive impact on the organization. With my academic aptitude, strong work ethic, and positive attitude, I know I can greatly benefit both the society and others outside of the society. Firstly, as my academic record shows, I am extremely motivated to do well and achieve good grades.
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.
After I graduate high school, I stand determined to pursue my dream: to become a civil engineer and create hurricane-resistant infrastructure along the Gulf Coast. I plan to employ the four pillars of National Honor Society to better achieve my goals. In order to take the first step towards achieving my goals, I must first pursue scholarship, a commitment to learning. Knowledge illuminates the path to success. Without a commitment to my education, I will not graduate with the proficiency and competency necessary to enter the workforce.
National Junior Honors Society Essay By: Megan Pacchioli I am very excited by the opportunity to represent my school as a member of the National Junior Honors Society. Both in and out of school I support the Five Pillars of the NJHS, which are scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership. I represent these five pillars by my grades and academic achievements in school, my dedication to my church, my dojo, and my soccer team. As well as taking part in my communities activities, being a responsible person, and manifesting my leadership on the court/field out of school.
My family consist one big sister and little brother. I 'm hardworking being part in multiple clubs and sports such as, National Honor Society, Youth Council of Laredo, the Football team and in a basketball team in the spurs league. Being in these clubs and sports showed me to be dedicated, hardworking, adapt, time management, team work, and most importantly help out the community. I have a special bond with my mom, she 's there when I need her. What I want to be when I grow up is become a surgeon.
I look forward to helping students to develop a drive for personal academic excellence and a rich perspective on the world around them as they explore links between the individual, society, and the natural world. The potential of secondary geography is to stimulate an interest in the wider world through learning knowledge, both in and beyond the classroom, and acquiring geographical and transferable skills to last a lifetime. To become a member of the highly esteemed National Honors Society would mean that I have achieved my goal of being an archetype student for North Penn High School. To be blunt, I had stressed over applying for NHS for quite a while, but it was not until mid-way through the application process in which I realized my life is based around the qualities that the National Honor Society holds in high value. I have been yearning to be a part of this remarkable organization since I graduated my freshman year as an officer in NJHS. Since then, my time has been filled with countless volunteering and involvement in extracurricular activities. I am very passionate about what I become invested into, and I work at achieving my goals to the fullest.
Students that have been a part of National Honor Society at Robert Vela High School have become outstanding individuals and have shown selflessness and a desire to aid their community in any way possible. It is because of this that it would be an honor to follow in the footsteps of those before me and continue to do service that will help my community and my school. As I anticipate my future with NSCS, I can predict that the outcome will be positive. Prospectively, the most important thing I can accomplish from NSCS is leadership. Leadership is having integrity and showing versatility in communities, work environment, school and home. It also extends beyond having influence on others and in fact it is a characteristic not possess by everyone. However, it is achievable and with consistent effort, knowledge and most importantly confidence; leadership and success will be attainable.
I am fortunate to say that my unyielding curiosity about the world has pushed me to become the independently driven student I am. Acceptance into the Neuroscience Graduate program at Brandeis University will allow me to pursue my interest in neuroplasticity, and transfer the skills acquired throughout my degree to research in a hospital setting. On May 19, 2018, I will complete a total of three consecutive years at Fitchburg State University, graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. In this time I have earned an overall GPA of 3.66/4.0, and a major GPA of 3.74/4.0.
Training with the National Society of Leadership and Success was valuable. An introspective approach gave me practice identifying my passions and strengths to develop initiative and self-discipline. NSLS helped me learn how to set appropriate goals and collaborate with my peers. Advice from many of their speakers taught me about overcoming obstacles and sharing my success. I will continue to uphold the values of NSLS as I begin my career.
Personal Statement for Nursing School “When a person decides to become a Nurse. They make the most important decision of their lives. They choose to dedicate themselves to the care of others” Growing up in Nigeria; I had my first introduction to the field of medicine at the age of 6. At the time, my grand father was a holistic doctor at my local community. Whenever my grandfather went to work, he would take me with him and I remembered being very fascinated by how people would come in to get treatments for different kinds of diseases.
My current involvement as a Student Ambassador and Orientation Leader at Collin College since February of 2017 has been a rewarding experience. As a student ambassador, it is my duty to serve as an academic and social role model to incoming students within Collin College.
