To many countries in this day and age obesity is not considered a problem, but to others it's another story. Rather than getting better, countries like United States are getting worse and worse in new coming years. With about two thirds of the United States (68.6%) overweight it's starting to become a hefty issue for the population. With many factors and causing obesity it is almost inevitable for most modern families not to eat out more than often. With all these food options come risks and problems. Then in a long term scenario there can be negative repercussions for those who almost daily have something out to eat that is unhealthy. In order to get the consumer's attention they start using ads in papers , commercials and etc. This is what gets people to realize that it's not worth the time to cook something themselves. If it costs half and takes half the time to make it that means for sure that will appeal to families and people that are short on money and time. With about 300 Mcdonald's ads airing on tv and about one point nine billion people watching tv daily it most likely airs and is seen by a good amount of people who are hungry. Which then triggers a whole cycle of someone buying and eating all the time. While in other societies it is not to noticeable and rarely brought up in discussion. According to the University of Michigan had found that in most schools sixty three percent of bully victims were either obese or overweight. Which becomes a bigger problem that can cause low self esteem,depression in those who are victims to being bullied. With all these effects no wonders it's starting to become a more discussed topic in today's day and age. Children then start to withdraw from activities and family due to being worried that they will get judged and bullied for their lifestyle and things
