There are a number of organisations that are involved in the identification of health and disease in UK communities. The main three that the essay will be looking at is: World Health Organisation, National Health Service and General medical Council.
The world health organisation (WHO) provides aids to private organisations that are working for the same purpose. The organisation provide services to health care in a country to improve health and disease, these services can be research laboratories which would help people to identify a cure for a disease or providing health centres where people can go for advice and support from healthcare professionals. The National health service (NHS) provides services for people within the UK for no cost so that disease does not impact the population. The NHS works alongside WHO to find out information about disease and what research there is. Another organisation that is involved in the identification of disease is General medical council (GMC). The council works for the protection of patients by improving the medical education and practices in the UK. This is done by conducting surveys about diseases

This campaign was used to promote awareness of lung cancer that more people can get tested for this cancer earlier which could save their life. It provide healthcare professionals tools and resources to support them in the treatment and identification of lung cancer so that this disease can be monitored more effectively. However, organisations can monitor this more effectively by setting remind check ups on certain age groups so that treatment can be given to the individual soon as possible rather than at a later stage when it could be too late for that
