Structural Integrity of Bethel University: College of Professional Studies Throughout this essay, I will be presenting detailed information regarding my position on Bethel University: College of Professional Studies’ organizational structure and the function it has within the higher education industry. Becoming a truck driver was the last thing I thought I would be doing. I was a child care provider and loved it. I never could see myself doing anything except caring for children and then this wonderful opportunity came along and changed everything. I realized things sometimes don’t go as planned especially in this changing economy, and that’s when the most adventurist, scariest and yet fulfilling career change I have ever made was staring me in the face. I have never been in a truck before so I had an array of emotions and thoughts when I went to school to start learning about this big truck that was both scary and exciting at the same time.
Additionally I am a Doctoral student at Grand Canyon University. My program of study is Doctoral of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis on K-12 Education. Conversely, I have successfully completed one year of course work. As you can see, I am continually striving to better my skills as an instructional leader.
Lucas Till said, “My uncle is a mechanic, and I wish I had paid more attention, but I never did” (Brainy Quotes). This quote really helps a lot because I am interested in becoming a mechanic and my dad knows a lot about that kind of work. My father is a rancher who is always having to fix something. Like for instance he had to fix the ranches ranger last week. The ranch also is always fixing the combines during harvest.
The automotive industry is the industry that allows for the United States to function. Not only does the automotive industry create jobs for tens of thousands of people, but it allows the people to travel. Whether this be to work, vacation, or to the grocery store, a form of automotive technology was used to create those places. This is where my fascination with automobiles surfaced. I am amazed with how the automobile allows the world as we know it to function.
To enhance my experience I would like to work with veterans, adult homeless, and the mentally ill. My objective is to be admitted into the Master of Science degree program with an option in Rehabilitation Counseling, where I can grow and take on new challenges. Ultimately, I would like to assume further educational and gain work experience that would allow me to work more effectively with people with disabilities. Most importantly, I would like to work for an agency where I can build a career in counseling and possibly management. I am driven to be the best at what I do.
