It was the last inning in our all-star game, and we were losing 10 to 8. Our team had 2 outs and we couldn’t get the third. Our pitcher was doing bad, throwing all balls, while all of us in the field were tired, ready to fall asleep at any moment. There goes another walk. They score again.
1) Explain your results based on the 8 categories (communication, evaluating, persuading, leading, deciding, trusting, disagreeing, and scheduling). What categories did you score above the culture norm? What categories did you score below the culture norm? What are areas of opportunity for improvement? Goal Number One I didn’t know it yet, but the way I viewed the game of lacrosse was about to change drastically. It was a normal day for me. I was in eighth grade, and I was getting ready for school.
For this section I was rated an average of 91 out of 100. This line of thinking was easier for me to embrace as I am more driven by the actual results than by planning for them or visualizing them. However, I was very critical of myself in this area as well; I provided myself with a 60. After looking over the results of the report, I the biggest issue I personally had was prioritizing my work, so I spent much of the time on the items of most importance. The greatest aspect others felt I needed to work on was responding to requests in a timely manner.
Before going on my walk I was stressed about school, being behind in classes, and not feeling very productive. After walking I realized that I had been distracted for a while and that the walk had allowed me some time to think about other things, but more importantly not think about anything important, and rest my brain. Seeing how the scale is a 1-10 scale (10 being the most stressed) I would say I was at an 8 before and after I was at about a 4. The stress was still prevalent when I got back, but I succeeded at forgetting about my worries just for a small amount of time.
“Four AP classes is a lot,” my parents warned, reading the list of courses I would take in the fall. “Are you sure you can manage that?" I felt fearless. “Of course,” I assured them. “I can handle it!”

Is It Worth It? Deciding which college to choose had to be the most stressful decision I could have ever made. I had so many things to put into consideration. I was beyond ready to depart from home, yet I was not ready to leave my family behind.
In my life, I have not faced many obstacles. I have not been disowned from my family, like Luma, or experienced war and famine, like the Fugees. I have one obstacle, that could be a considered an obstacle, and it is a mental one. When I was a child and now, I have always had the idea in my head that anything less than an A is bad. Anything less than an A would make me sad, make me burst into tears, be really anxious, or stressed.

Leadership Trait Questionnaire The Leadership Trait Questionnaire (LTQ) showed that I lack in self-confidence, self-assurance, and feel that I lack in insight. I show strength in determination, being outgoing, friendly, empathetic and sensitive, I rated myself as fours in these categories and a five in the outgoing category (Northouse, 2016). It is essential to show self-confidence and self-assurance when in a leadership position.
