In this world, there are several things that motivate me to want to “do” something, get me excited, and make me smile. One of the things that motivates me to do such things is wanting to make a change in the world through science. Whether it’s trying to find medicine or new inventions that improve the physical, mental, health and lifestyle of millions of people, I’m willing to do it with the help of science. One SECME activity that relates to the science field that I find to be fun and interesting is the study of animals, how they adapt to their environments, where they originated from, how their body works, what dangers do they face, and even seeing what animals are capable of. What type of education do you need to properly pursue a career in STEM? How many years of college and University will you spend studying for this career? Are you willing to do what it takes to get to where you want to be in order to pursue a STEM career? Well to give you some examples, to be a doctor, you must complete a 4 year undergraduate degree. You will as well need to spend 4 years in medical school and complete a 3-7 years of residency training. A lot of work, is it not? Another example, In order to become an architect, you must complete Pre-professional bachelor's degree program in architectural studies or construction management that will take about 4 years to complete. Yes, this may all seem like it will take a long period of time to complete, but in the end it will be worth the time.
